| Inaugural Pennsylvania Health Literacy Conference on November 18, 2010 at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. The conference is co-sponsored by the ACP Foundation, Temple University School of Medicine, Aetna, Inc., Pennsylvania Medical Society and Drexel University. The conference aims to: raise awareness of the impact of low health literacy, assist organizations and health professionals in overcoming the challenges of low health literacy, develop a statewide Leadership Council to catalyze action among state, regional and local organizations. |

| AHRQ has released the Health Literacy Universal Precautions Toolkit. The toolkit is designed to help adult and pediatric practices ensure that systems are in place to promote better understanding by all patients, not just those you think need extra assistance. The toolkit is divided into manageable chunks so that its implementation can fit into the busy day of a practice. |
